A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:00AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Father Greg Syler officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Father Raymond Schmidt reciting prayers at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
Brenda Jean Gallatin, 55, of Piney Point, MD passed away surrounded by her loving family in Washington, DC on August 18, 2012. Born on June 10, 1957 in Leonardtown, MD., she was the daughter of the late Barbara Jean Hayden Herbert and Joseph R. Herbert, Sr. Brenda was the loving wife of Spencer C. Gallatin whom she married in Leonardtown, MD for 13 years. Brenda is survived by her children: Ricky Larkin of Leonardtown, MD., and Samantha Gallatin of Lexington Park, MD. Siblings: Bobby Herbert, Donald Gray both of St. Mary’s County., MD, and Donna Walls of PA. Brenda graduated from Holy Name Academy in 1976. Mrs. Gallatin worked as a school bus aide for 23 years for St. Mary’s County Schools, she and enjoyed yard sales. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with Fr. Greg Syler officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be: J.B. Abell, Donald M. Gray, Robert Herbert, Robert Clarke Abell, Andrew Walls, and Andrew Mills.
