“My beautiful mother … my heart is filled with sadness as I write these words. I know it was time for you to leave, but I just wanted to hold on to you a little longer. Because of you, I have so many happy and special memories: watching you paint and being amazed with your talent; eating my Cream of Wheat with lumps in it because you know that’s how I liked it; reading the many books you passed on to me with your little notes on the inside cover; dressing up on Easter Sunday with my new bonnet; watching you weave angel hair into the Christmas tree to make it pretty; setting the table with the many feasts you cooked for all of us; seeing the love and joy on your face as you held each grandchild and great grandchild for the first time; sharing our laughs about family; shucking peas on the steps of the back porch on a hot summer evening; smelling all the gorgeous roses that you planted; kissing my many boo-boos away; and so much more. Everything you did showed your artistic ability. Thank you for all you have given me, especially your unconditional love. Because of you, I am the woman I am today. You will have my love and heart forever. I’ll end this with what I always said when I walked out of your door: I love you and I’ll see you the next time!”
“Sorry for your loss Robert. M ay god bless your family.”
“Moe/Roberta, I so sorry for your loss. All of you will be in my prayers,”
