Catherine Elizabeth Crim, “Katie”, 97, of California, MD passed away at her home on June 6, 2019. She was born on February 11, 1922 in Hollywood, MD and was the daughter of the late Annie Burroughs and John Burroughs. Katie is survived by a special friend Mark Sullivan. She is also survived by her children Dorothy Duckett (James) of Leonardtown, MD, James Gatton (Gail) of Florida, John Gatton (Peewee) of Glen Burnie, MD, daughter in law Jackie Crim of California, MD, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Katie was preceded in death by her son Richard Crim, daughter-in-law Jean Gatton and siblings Richard Burroughs, Francis Burroughs, Billy Burroughs, Herbert Burroughs, and Mary Williams. Katie enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and loving her grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Bishop William McClean officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Tristan Nickerson, Tyler Hammett, Corey Crim, Jeffrey Bell, Robert (Bobby) Fross and James (Jimmy) Gatton.

  5. I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of a loved one. Her granddaughter, Michelle, is a beloved member of our Patriot Family at Northern High School. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this time of grieving.

  8. Mark and Crim family, I really enjoyed seeing Ms. Katie at the Bluegrass Hump Day. Her smile and friendliness just brighten up the whole place. She will greatly be missed. Will keep all in prayers at this sad time. Sorry I missed her services I was out of town.
