Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. John Barry officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church. Charles Lydell "Charlie" Herbert, 28, of Mechanicsville, MD died August 4, 2006 in La Plata, MD. Born January 25, 1978 in Washington, DC he was the son of Alfreda Estep and Charles Joseph Herbert, Jr. both of Mechanicsville, MD. He is survived by his step father: Francis Estep; step mother: Nellie Herbert; siblings: Sade' Herbert, Carlos Herbert and Shannon Blackwell all of Mechanicsville, MD; grandmothers: Frances Herbert of Morganza, MD and Violena Dickerson of Abell, MD and a special friend: Twynisha Gray. Mr. Herbert was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he was a graduate of Chopticon High School Class of 1997. He was employed at Sam's Barber Shop as a barber for 9 years. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 10, 2006 from 9:00 â?? 11:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with Fr. John Barry officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Thomas, Corness Gray, Joe Dotson, Antoine Herbert, Marvin Armstrong and Dewayne Dickerson.
