Charles Thomas Robbins
February 16, 1954 ~ December 18, 2024
Charles Thomas Robbins, known affectionately as Chuck, was born on February 16, 1954, in Alton, IL, and passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, in Leonardtown, MD, with his children at his bedside. He was the beloved son of Joyce Whorl and William Robbins.
Chuck was a dedicated professional, having worked at Thompsons Furniture and Exxon Mobile throughout his life, until his well-earned retirement. However, his greatest pride came from being an amazing father to his daughter, Rachel Nicole Hawkins, and a loving father-in-law to Aaron “Mike” Hawkins. He also cherished his relationship with his goddaughter, Gloria Vitello, and her husband, Joe.
An avid fan of Dallas Cowboys football and Elvis Presley, Chuck found joy in simple pleasures, including playing Bingo and exploring yard sales. He loved nothing more than spending time with his friends and his daughter, always bringing laughter and happiness to those around him.
Chuck was married to Sandra Leigh Robbins until her passing on July 27, 2017. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his ability to make friends wherever he went, and his unwavering commitment to his loved one. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family sends their deepest gratitude to Hospice of St. Mary’s for their care in Chuck’s final weeks of life, as well as to Cedar Lane Senior Living Community for making Chuck feel right at home.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date by his daughter, Rachel Hawkins.
