Cheryl Marie Tipett, 48, of Avenue, MD passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 25, 2016 in St. Mary’s Nursing Home Leonardtown, MD. Born on February 2, 1968 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the loving daughter of John Pelham Tippett of Avenue, MD and the late Gloria Ann Tippett. Cheryl is survived by her son Andrew Scott Quade of Avenue, MD, siblings; Tammy Louise Tippett of Avenue, MD, John Gregory Tippett of California, MD. She graduated from Chopticon High School in 1987, and was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident. She was a clerk at McKay’s Grocery Store. Cheryl enjoyed bingo, wrestling events, trips to Kings Dominion with her son, and sister, and spending time with family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church in Avenue, MD with Father Anthony Lickteig officiating. Pallbearers will be: Ernest B. Burch, Jr., Tommy Tippett, James Owens, Jay Owens, Raley Gass, and Jeff Gass.

Cheryl will always be remembered for her sweet smile and her love of being with family and friends. Love and prayers to all of her family at this sad time. We have another Angel watching over us…

Tammy I am so sorry to hear of Cheryls passing. It really is unbelievable. Sometimes we just have to ask why. The heart remembers most what it loved best. Sometimes when I say that it helps a little. Please pass my condolences to your family. May Cheryl rest in peace.

I am so very saddened at the loss of Cheryl. She was a very sweet lady who I am glad I had the chance to know. My condolences and prayers to Andrew and her entire family. I know she will be missed by all who knew her.
