Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Joseph Sileo officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Visitation: A prayer service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM. Christopher "Chris" Alan Pilkerton, 41, of Waldorf, MD and formerly of Brandywine, MD died April 26, 2007 at his residence. Born June 16, 1965 in Annapolis, MD he was the son of Mary Helen Angle Pilkerton of Leonardtown, MD and the late John Franklin Pilkerton Sr. He is survived by his siblings; Barbara Hayden of Lexington Park, MD, John F. Pilkerton Jr. of Waldorf, MD, Sharon McKenzie of Front Royal, VA and Timothy Pilkerton of Mechanicsville, MD. A graduate of Gwynn Park Sr. high school, Class of 1983, Chris moved from Brandywine, MD in July of 1998 to Waldorf, MD. He was a heavy equipment operator for Gudelsky Materials for 13 years and loved hunting and drag racing. Prayers were said on Monday, April 30, 2007 at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home where a funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 with Fr.Joe Sileo officiating. Interment followed in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Mark Cooksey, Mark Young, Donald Jones Sr., David Gatton, Donald Jones Jr. and Ward McAlwee.
