A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Cortinovis officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
Clifford “Dean” Polk, 40, of Bridgewater, VA, formerly from Mechanicsville, MD passed away on October 19, 2014 in Bridgewater, VA. Born on February 2, 1974 in Washington, DC, he was the son of Prima L. Polk of Staunton, VA, James W. Polk of Mechanicsville, MD, father and mother in law Ed and Judy Powell. Dean was the husband of Hannah, and is survived by their daughter, Cora, all of Bridgewater, VA. Dean is also survived by his former wife, and friend Lorie Joy, and their children; Kellen, Kenny, Keith Polk all of Chaptico, MD, siblings; Terrie Brynteson of Mechanicsville, MD and David Hodge of Tyler, TX. As well as nephews, a niece, great nieces and a great nephew. Dean graduated from Chopticon High School, Morganza, MD in 1992. Dean worked as a Control Room Operator for White Wave for 16 years.
