The Kirshner Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Colton was in my physical education class for the last two years at Leonardtown Middle. He was an amazing young man, one that peers looked up to. When Colton entered the gym his smile lit up the gym and was very contagious. Thank you for allowing me to teach Colton.
The Kirchner Family,
My sympathy pours out to you all during such a difficult time. I had the pleasure of being one of Colton’s Physical Education teachers and I will always remember Colton’s big smile, intelligence, resilience, and courage among every other good quality a person can have. I will also remember the amazing example Colton set for all his peers and the effect he had on people around him including me. He was a shining light and in some ways I feel like he was the teacher in the room. Colton is not be with us anymore, but I feel like his spirit will always be.
My deepest condolences,
Ryan Brougham

Anne & Josh,
My heart goes out to you and your family as we all grieve the loss of Colton. It was a true pleasure and honor to have coached Colton in baseball. His spirit and relentless positive energy was a testament to the love you provided him. He was an all-star on the baseball field, and an even bigger all-star in life. He will always be remembered by those whose lives he touched, and his name for me will always be synonymous with courage.
Me and my entire family will continue to pray for your family.
With love and prayers,
Joe Longobardi (Coach)
Dear Kirchner Family,
I was a long-term substitute 2nd grade teacher at Hollywood Elementary when Colton was a second grader. I did not interact directly with Colton too much, but I was aware of his battle. I remember him striking me as a typical 2nd grade boy with a kind, determined demeanor. I am a parishioner of St. Aloysius and still have an orange bracelet for Colton. My family has prayed for Colton every night for many years, and I was so sorry to hear of his passing at Mass tonight. Your family will remain in our prayers as we pray God gives you peace and comfort.
Sincerely,
Kelly Neale
