David A Gawne, Aged 63, of Lexington Park Md, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2026

Born in Buffalo New York on November 29,1962 went on to proudly to serve 22 years to his country as a dedicated Aviation Ordinance man to the United States Navy. After a honorable career of service, he retired from the military, carrying the values of honor, courage, and commitment with him throughout the rest of his life.

He was a beloved husband to Angelia Gawne and father to Zachary Gawne, Tabitha Beaulieu (Randy) and Sarah Gawne (proceeded in death). Pops to grandson Landon Gawne-Allwine.  He is proceeded by his daughter Sarah, mother Janice and father Howard F Gawne II, and sisters Kathy and Debbie.

A loyal friend to many. He was known as Super Dave to all. A dedicated Buffalo Bills fan always wearing his team proudly.  His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In accordance with his wishes, a direct cremation will take place. A celebration of life and a formal military service with a Navy Honor Guard will be held at a later date.

  2. Dave was my best friend. We served together in the Navy as Aviation Ordnancemen.He drove me crazy with his Buffalo Bills ( I’m a Steeler fan) I will miss him terribly. I feel good for him being with his daughter now and smiling ear to ear. Love you buddy. oh and, learn to fish up there!
