A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Holy Angels Catholic Church in Avenue, MD with Father Charles Cortinovis officiating. Interment will be private.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
David AllenTippet,71, of Leonardtown, MD passed away on September 25, 2014 in Annapolis, MD. He was born on September 5, 1943 in Leonardtown, Maryland to the late Beezie and Dennis Tippett, Sr. David is survived by his daughter Cheryl Tippett, grandchildren; Amber Tippett, and Michael Tippett, and great grandson Michael Smith, all of North Carolina. Dave is also survived by his brothers Richard Tippett of Leonardtown, MD; Jack Tippett of Hollywood, MD, and sister Gay Fowler of Avenue, MD and many extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his daughter Debbie Tippett. In his early years Dave worked as a waterman and in construction. His later years were spent working at the Hotel Charles. Dave was an active member of AA and proudly celebrated his 40th Anniversary in April. He enjoyed watching sports especially car races and the Washington Nationals. Dave loved music and was an excellent dobro guitar player. It was a real pleasure listening to him play. Dave will be missed and remembered by many people.

Interment will be private. Pallbearers; Billy Bowles, Jamie Fowler, Daryl Pilkerton, Joey Tippett, Buddy Tippett, and Michael Tippett.
