All who really had a chance to know her loved her, she had such a big heart and was one of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet. Nia baby, my heart goes out to you, always remember that your Mom and Dad loved you more than you could ever imagine, keep their memories with you as you grow older and more beautiful over the years. Mrs Dottie and Bobby, please find comfort in remembering all the special times you had with Deborah and how it was through your love and support that Deborah grew to be such a loving and wonderful person. Deb or Dee-Block as I loved to jokingly call you, you will be missed more than you could ever imagine, it is with such a heavy heart that I write this to say good-bye, but I have found some comfort in knowing that when we spoke last week and we hung up the phone without saying our usual “I love you girl”, you called me back not even a second later and said “Tosha, I love you sooo much girl” that was your last good-bye to me and you wanted me to remember it forever. Rest in Peace Dee, although your gone, you will never be forgotten…I Love You Sooo Much Girl.”

“I worked with Deborah about 15 years ago at Perkins – she and I were hostesses together. I remember her being one of the nicest people I have EVER worked with. She was always funny and sweet and had this great, genuine laugh. She was a bit of a prankster, which made the work day more fun and bearable. I saw her picture in the paper today and her face instantly brought the memories back to me. I have not seen her for all these 15 years but I immediately recognized her face. I am so sorry to hear that she is leaving a little daughter behind. Little Nia should know that her mother was a fantastic lady with a ton of spunk and kindness. My prayers are with Nia and her entire family. Love, Nicki Fusaro-Strickland, Chaptico, MD”
