Dianne Lee Pogue

Dianne Lee Pogue, 74 of Bushwood, MD formerly of Erie, PA, passed away on October 2, 2016 in Leonardtown, MD. Born March 22, 1942 in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Johanna Woodard Osborne and Richard Osborne.
Dianne was the loving wife of the late Robert S. Pogue who preceded her in death on August 22, 2015.
She is survived by her children; Deborah (Jeff) Kinsland of Millington, TN, Kevin (Kelly) Kosack of Leonardtown, MD, Kimberly Kosack of Bushwood, MD, Tracy (Sandy) Pogue of Bemidji, MN, Timothy (Stephanie) Pogue of CA, and Terry (Helena) Pogue of Bushwood, MD, siblings; James Lacey of Cranberry, PA, and Carol Gorniak of Waterford, PA, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by a brother; Charles Lacey.
Dianne graduated from Academy High School in 1960, she moved to St. Mary’s County in 1968, and was a receptionist for Walden Sierra for many years. Dianne was a member of A.C.T.S. and also volunteered for them. She was an artist and enjoyed teaching art, especially to her younger students the Two Maddie’s.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 10:00AM in All Saints Episcopal Church, Avenue, MD with Reverend Harry Harper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Benton Burch, Bernard Bailey, James Lacey and A.J. Lacey.

Kevin, Kim and Family. We were so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. May the many wonderful memories made over the years, bring you all comfort and peace at this time.
Dianne was such a great help in finding old pictures of the events and people of Sacred HEart parish,in Bushwood, while we were working on the history of Sacred Heart parish. I really didn’t know her that well, but, she welcomed me to her home and took time to help me. My sympathies to the family.

Kim, Debbie, Kevin and Family, Keep all the great memories that have been made thru the years close to your heart! Your Mom was a great person! She knew how to laugh and enjoy life. Sorry I can’t be with you Saturday for her services.
Our deepest sympathy to Diane’s family. Diane was a faithful member of All Saints Church and taught a craft program at our Vacation Bible School this summer. Her talent as an artist was unique, especially with her paintings of the birds she loved. She will be greatly missed.

Bill and I are deeply sorrowed by the passing of Dianne. We know no one else like her. She introduced me to the joys of painting. This was just one of the many gifts of her talent to our community. We love her as deeply now as when we could be in her presence. We pray for her eternal peace and for God to guide and sustain Kim and all of Dianne’s family through the difficult times to ahead. RIP dear Dianne.
Our hearts are filled with gratitude for having this amazing woman in our lives. She was a beautiful, shining light in this crazy world. She is now with the angels, teaching them to paint in heaven. Thank you for sharing her with us. We are all better for having known her.
