Donna Marie Lawrence Emerson

Donna Marie (Lawrence) Emerson, 69, of Hollywood, MD passed away on December 2, 2019 at her residence. She was born on November 5, 1950 in Leonardtown, MD and was the loving daughter of the late Bernard Ralph Lawrence, Sr. and Doris Jean Lawrence. Donna is survived by her daughter, Veronica Johnson (Wade) of Hollywood, MD grandchildren Olivia Higgs, Rebecca Johnson, Jarrett Higgs, and Nathan Johnson; siblings, Bernice Ryce (Kenny) of Hollywood, MD, Marietta Peake (Kenny) of Churchton, MD, James Lawrence (Lisa) of Hollywood, MD, Cathy Buckler (James) of Mechanicsville, MD and sister in law Kim Lawrence of Mechanicsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Lawrence of Mechanicsville, MD. Donna was a life-long resident of St. Mary’s County, MD. She graduated from Chopticon High School in 1968 and worked for the U.S. Navy for 34 years as a Budget Analyst. She absolutely adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their academic and sporting events over the years. She loved playing bingo and traveling. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 9, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Rob Maro officiating. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary’s P.O.
