Doris Rose Yates

Doris Rose Yates, 76, of Charles County, Maryland, formerly of St. Mary’s County, MD, passed away on April 22, 2023 in Charles County, MD. Born on December 16, 1946 in Takoma Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late Doris Rose Carroll and Mahlon Ashford Carroll. Rose is survived by her children, Tammy Schneider (Art) of St. Mary’s County, MD, her siblings David Carroll of St. Mary’s County, MD, Steven Carroll of St. Mary’s County, MD, Charles Carroll of California, Bernadette Snead (Dan) of St. Mary’s County, MD, and Lisa Kelly of Meriden, CT, as well as two grandchildren Marcus Thompson and Tiffany Servantes. Plus 7 additional grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children Troy Yates, Donnie Yates, and Joseph Yates, and her siblings Gail Carroll, Debra Owens, and John Carroll. Doris graduated from high school and was a homemaker. She moved to St. Mary’s County, MD in 1979. All funeral services will be private.
