Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 28 at 10:00 AM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD with Father Rory Conley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: Catholic Daughter's Prayers said at 4:45 PM, Public viewing will be on Monday, December 27 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with prayers being said at 7:00 PM in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. Eleanor Mae Farr Guy, 86, of Leonardtown, MD died December 24, 2004 at Solomon's Nursing Center from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Born February 6, 1918 in Maddox, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William Parran Farr and Martha Eleanor Davis Farr. She was the wife of the late Clarence N. Guy, Jr. whom she married on June 23, 1941 at Holy Comforter Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. She is survived by her children Mary Martha Griffin and her husband Pete Griffin, Sr. of Clements; Joseph C. "Teeny": Guy and his wife Beverly of Leonardtown; R. Wayne Guy and his wife Joann of Leonardtown; Ronald N. Guy and his wife Denise of Leonardtown; and, Carl P. Guy and his wife Chris of Leonardtown. Her sister, Emily Latham and her husband Charles of Leonardtown also survive her. Her brothers Joseph L. Farr and William L. Farr and her sisters Dorothy L. Springer, Lucretia Yowaski, and Martha Ann Lacey preceded her in death. Her 12 grandchildren Peter Griffin,Jr.; Gwen Tennyson; Cindy Pogue; Mary Beth Griffin; Charity Griffin; Randy Guy; Kevin Guy; Bryan Guy; Ronnie Guy, Jr.; Mandy Schiavoni; Andy Guy; and Kristin Guy also survive her. She had 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Eleanor Mae was a graduate of Margaret Brent High School, Class of 1935. She worked for the C&P Telephone Company and retired from the Leonardtown Office as Chief Operator in 1975. She was an active member of the C&P Pioneers, a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church where she attended daily mass; a member of the Catholic Daughters, Father Andrew White Court and was Regent from 1975 to 1979 and 1981-1985; the Ladies of Charity of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Church Choir. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She took great pride in her lemon meringue pies, fried chicken; stuffed ham; chicken salad; coconut cake; brownies; and Christmas eggnog. She delighted in family gatherings at her home every Sunday; holiday gatherings with her family; and monthly Club Dances at St. Francis Xavier Church with neighbors and friends. The family will receive friends at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown on Monday, December 27 from 5 to 8 P.M. with Prayers being said at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 28 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown with the Rev. Rory T. Conley officiating. Interment will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers are her grandsons Pete Griffin, Jr.; Randy Guy; Kevin Guy; Bryan Guy; Ronnie Guy, Jr.; and Andy Guy. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Ladies of Charity of St. Aloysius Catholic Church or the Catholic Daughters, FAW Court, P. O. Box 310, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
