Ernest Leo "Buddy" Myers
March 19, 1938 ~ November 1, 2015
Ernest Leo Myers (Buddy), 77, of Clements, MD passed away on November 1, 2015 at home. Born on March 19, 1938, he was the son of the late Addie Virginia Myers and Leo Raymond Myers. Buddy was the loving husband of Peggy Ann Myers, whom he married on December 11, 1981 in Leonardtown, MD. Buddy is survived by his sons: Ernie Myers of Virginia and Raymond Myers of Lexington Park, MD, 1 grandchild, and a sister Minnie Necessary of Leonardtown, MD. He was preceded in death by his sister Frances Ann Lamb. Buddy was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident, and worked as a heavy equipment operator with Bay Country, retiring in 2000. Buddy enjoyed fishing, music, camping, and playing cards.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Moore. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be: Tommy Morgan, Eugene Buckler, Dale Downs, Nick Buckler, Roger Wayne Lamb, and David McGinnis. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jackie McGinnis, Jerry McGinnis, Jimmy Burroughs, John Abell, Randy Page, and Pat Lyon.





Aunt Peggy, We are so saddened that Uncle Buddy has left us. As you know I will truly miss my Twin Uncle, not too many people left that know my true name, and you are more than welcome to use it if you like. I won’t mention the name on here but you know what it is. Love you bunches!!!
Uncle Buddy! I will always remember the memories we shared mainly the laughs we always shared so many when the family was together! Please know that your are in my prayers and Im glad to know your are not in pain any more — rest in peace — tell Day Day and Nicole I said hi!
Aunt Peggy! I am truly sorry for your loss, there isn’t anything anyone can say that will bring him back, but know that you have a family that is here for you. Stay strong and remember the wonderful memories of uncle Buddy!
