Services: A Funeral Service will be held at the Frank R. Zimmerman Funeral Home, 625 Smithfield Street, Mount Pleasant, PA, on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Tarrs Cemetery in Tarrs, PA. Visitation: Public visitation will be at the Frank R. Zimmerman Funeral Home, 625 Smithfield Street, Mount Pleasant, PA, on Saturday, May 15, 2004 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM. Evelyn Catherine Ryan, 85 of Leonardtown, MD, formerly of Mount Pleasant, PA died on May 12, 2004 in the Bayside Care Center, Lexington Park, MD. She was born in Pleasant Unity, PA on January 25, 1919, to the late Milton and Emily Farmer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years; William W. Ryan, Sr. Mrs. Ryan was a member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. She moved to Leonardtown, MD in July 1999, where she lived at Cedar Lane Apartments for 3 years where she especially enjoyed the bingo evenings. She moved to Bayside Care Center in 2002 where she continued to enjoy bingo and doing word searches. She loved to make quilts and to crochet hats and scarves. She and her husband loved to attend the Pittsburg Pirates baseball games. For many years, after retirement, they enjoyed the Pirates spring training camp in Florida. She is survived by two sons, William W. Ryan, Jr and wife Wilma of Luther, OK and John R. Ryan and wife Dee of Clements, MD, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Frank R. Zimmerman Funeral Home, 627 Smithfield Street, Mount Pleasant, PA on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11:00 AM, where the family will receive friends from 9:30 AM â?? 11:00 AM.
