Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Peter Alliata officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM Flora June "Maw" Long, 86 of Mechanicsville, MD died April 24, 2006 in Mechanicsville, MD. Born June 1, 1919 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Peter Jay and Regina M. Gerber Zellhofer. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin Sylvester Long in 1978 in Mechanicsville, MD whom she married in Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Middle River. She is survived by her son: Martin Paul Long of Mechanicsville, MD; sister: Mary A. Plumer; brothers: Charles J. and James Jude Zellhofer all of Maryland; grandchildren: Jessica A. Thomas and Martin Jason Long and great grandchildren: Ethen E. and Aleeyah J. Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Elizabeth A. Zellhofer, Peter J. Zellhofer, Jr., Rita E. Sunderland, Clarice J. Sunderland, Francis X. Zellhofer, Anthony J. Zellhofer, Irene M. McDougall and Theresa Mettille Zellhofer all of Maryland and granddaughter: Amanda L. Long. Mrs. Long attended Seton High School and night school where she earned her banking degree. She worked for SMECO in Hughesville, MD as an accounting supervisor. She enjoyed making crafts. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph B. Long, Ruth Stull, Gloria Wood, Harold Wood and Robin Lawrence. Contributions may be made to the Mechanicsville Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O.
