A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD with Fr. Francis Early officiating and Fr. William Gurnee co-officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
Francis Allan “Al” Swann, 52 of Chaptico, MD died November 13, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Born March 19, 1957 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Catherine Bailey Swann of Bushwood, MD and the late Francis Gwynn Swann, Jr. He is also survived by his sister Nancy L. Hall of Chaptico, MD. A lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, Al graduated from St. Mary’s Ryken High School “Class of 1975”. He was an instrument technician for Pepco for thirty years, retiring in 2004. He enjoyed cutting grass, watching ball games and NASCAR racing. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM.
