Prayers and thoughts to the family. She was a blessing to Cedar Lane.
Loretta, Leroy and Gladys’ family. So sorry to learn of Gladys’ passing. Her and I were good friends when we lived in the Breton Apts. in Leonardtown. We did a lot of walking around the Town and She had a colorful sense of humor and I loved her laugh. My heartfelt condolences to all of you.
Loretta and family, Ms. P was a special person. At one point we were smoking buddies. Love to you all.
Gladys, was a very sweet lady my thoughts and prayers to her family
To Gladys family so sorry to hear of her passing. I knew her through the Telephone Co. I will keep you all in my prayers.
Loretta, Leroy, and Betty; we are sorry for your loss of your mom and sister. Not sure if you know this, but Gladys was very good to me when I was a young girl. She taught me how to drive and helped me get my driver’s license. She made sure that I had transportation to some school events and was sometimes my lone cheering section. These are my good memories of Gladys and I know that your good memories will give you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
Gladys was a dear sweetheart! She was the first resident I met at Cedar Lane when we moved my Mother in back in 2013. I often helped her with her wheelchair in the hallways or just chatting with her or helping her with her clothes or whatever it was at the time. I really enjoyed her and often thought about her as she left a tender place in my heart. She has earned her wings in Heaven! God Bless her and may she rest in peace! Thinking of you all!
our thoughts and prayers to her family
To the Pinkerton Family
I am so sorry for your loss. It is difficult to cope with the death of our dear loved one, but we have our special memories to help us to move forward. God is always there to comfort us (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). We can also consider Acts 24:15 where we read about the hope of the resurrection of both the just and unjust. I pray this helps you to find peace.
Loretta and Leroy, I have just seen the notice of Aunt Gladys passing. How sorry I am that I did not know. I would have certainly been at her service and I would have brought mom (Queenie). It has been many years but your mom was always seen as a dear aunt and sister-in-law. I remember many years ago I had a blouse I was in a fit to have dry cleaned to be able to wear that same night and daddy (Sam) marched me into the Leonardtown cleaners and made me ask Aunt Gladys if she could use her pull to have it ready for me that afternoon and bless her heart she laughed and made it happen. I remember the times spent at your home with both Uncle Leo and Aunt Gladys and the fun there. I remember your mom as always kind, always smiling and I can still see her and mom laughing together over those “bullheaded” Pilkerton men. I’m sure there are many memories for you that bring smiles. I’m also sure that now that Gladys rests with the angels she’s laughing and enjoying her new life among them.
