Libby and Family,
We are sorry to hear of Glenwood’s passing.
He was sociable and friendly with everyone.
In past years, he really enjoyed dancing with Libby at New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Patuxent River O.Club. We had enjoyable dinner evenings with Glen and Libby, both at their home and at the Hewitts’ in Valley Lee.
He was really proud of his family–Libby, their three sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren! His hard work and exemplary life was a shining star.
Glen-we are missing you down here, but we know you had a rousing reception up there!

Coombs Family, I did not get to meet my Great-Uncle. I was blessed to know my Grandfather, Ira, for only a few years before he passed. But, I have heard great and exciting stories of our family. I enjoyed reading articles about Uncle Glenwood and the famous Barber Shop. With sympathy and love we send this note. We understand how great a lose like this is as we lost my dad, Johnny, in August. He would mention often, if any of us were going to get a hair cut, “you know, I can handle that for you, my uncle is a barber.” We didn’t let dad use scissor on us though. You are in our prayers.
