Services:
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel with Fr. Joseph Calis officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens Waldorf, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers recited at 7:00 PM.
Guinette Alberta Bean, 72, of Valley Lee, MD passed away on October 3, 2013 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 12, 1941 in Clements, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Albert and Mary Violet Hayden Graves. Alberta was the loving wife of James Gregory Bean whom she married in Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, Chaptico, MD on February 3, 1962. Alberta is survived by her son’s Charlie Bean (Priscilla) of Waldorf, MD., and James Bean (Cindy) of Fort Meyers, FL., also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings, Mary Ethel Oliver of Clements, MD., Shirley Suite of Bushwood, MD., Annie Ridgell of Dynard, MD, and Cathy Owen of Waldorf, MD. She is preceded in death by her siblings; William (Snookie) Graves, Bernard (Buster) Graves, and William (Billy) Graves.
Alberta graduated from La Plata High School and was a lifelong St. Mary’s County resident. She worked as a homemaker and waitress at the Half Way House. Alberta enjoyed watching NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt, Jr.), Music (Conway Twitty), Cards (Pitch), she loved working in her yard, and flower beds, and loved her family and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 10:00 Am in the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph Calis officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers will be; Wayne Oliver, Gary Oliver, Craig Oliver, Bobby Suite, Joey Suite, and James Morgan. Contributions may be made to the Second District Volunteer Fire Department or Rescue Squad P.O. Box 1 Valley Lee, MD 20692.
