“I will always think of Mrs. Ramos fondly. She was indeed an ‘institution’ at SMA, an awesome Math teacher, and a great, wonderful person. Although some of my classmates who were scared of Algebra, and consequently scared of Mrs. Ramos, her relentless devotion and gifted teaching skills were recognized and appreciated by all. I don’t know if she ever knew that I earned a BS in Mathematics (along with a double major in French, inspired by Sr. Mary Natalie) but I would never have done it without the solid foundation in Math that she taught me, and the inspiration she gave me. God bless, Amy Wood, SMA class of ’79”
