Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 10:30 AM in Bethesda United Methodist Church, Valley Lee, MD with Rev. Irvin Beverly officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM in Bethesda United Methodist Church, Valley Lee, MD. Isarel Paul Lawrence, 77, of Falling Waters, WV died June 8, 2008 at the V.A. Medical Center, Washington, DC. Born January 18, 1931 in Callaway, MD he was the son of the late John Paul and Nellie Stewart Lawrence. He was the loving husband of Rebecca Swindell Lawrence whom he married on December 23, 1985 in Dillion, SC. He is also survived by his sisters; Inez Ivey of Washington, DC, Rossetta Smith and Myrtle Johnson, both of Callaway, MD. He was preceded in death by his siblings; May Johnson, Mary Lawrence, Thomas Lawrence, Adele Harris, Henrietta Ball and Alexander Lawrence. He was a retired Mail Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the U.S. Army from June 1949 to June 15, 1955 and received a National Defense Service Medal. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 14, 2008 from 9:30-10:30 AM in Bethesda United Methodist Church, Valley Lee, MD where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM with Rev. Irvin Beverly and Rev. Alfred Statesman co-officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Barnes, Leon Barnes, John Brown, Jr., Lamont Saxon, Sam Taggart and William Thompson.
