  28. “My father was a wonderful man. He was the most hardest working person I knew. He never knew the words “Quit” or having a day off. My father always amazed me how he could work nights at Pepco and come home and work all day out in the fields. He always worked hard and never complained about it. Dad always liked teaching me new things on the farm such as operating the tractor and how to be a great tobacco farmer. Every year we went to the tobacco market together in Hughesville to sell his crop. If we weren’t planting tobacco we were out in our garden. His favorite tractor was a International. Most people remember my dad out in the kale patch planting and sell it. I always enjoyed being next to my father, even on those hot summer days out in the fields. I never wanted to disappoint him. We had very few vacations, but I do remember our dad’s brother, Uncle Plowden drove us to the DC zoo and Kings Dominion. I remember dad enjoying the Log rides the most. He taught me how to drive a 3 speed on the column in his pick-up truck when I was about 13 years old which I still remember as if it were yesterday. Dad really enjoyed going to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and helping out with their fall dinners. He was very active in church until his illness took a toll on him. And I know because of his faith in the lord he is up in heaven looking down on all of us smiling away. I know dad was very proud of his family. He can now go rest in peace knowing how great of a job he did. I know he couldn’t give us everything we wanted. But he sure did give us a lot of love. I love you Daddy. There won’t be a day that goes by that I won’t think about you and all the good times we shared and all the laughter and fun we had together. May you go rest in peace and fly with the angels. You will always and forever be in my heart. I love you! “

  29. “Grandpa, I miss you so much I know I havnt been around as much as I should have been but there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think or ask about you. I remember all the times we had together when I was growing up and the first time you took me for a ride on the tractor instead of singing “old Mc Donald had a farm” you sang “your ol pop pop had a farm”. you will always be in our hearts I love you pop pop. Rest in Paradise.”
