James Howard Thompson,77, of Abell, MD passed away in Avenue, MD on June 19, 2019. He was born on October 30, 1941 in Leonardtown, MD. He was the loving son of the late Zach Thompson and Catherine Russell Thompson. James is survived by his children Teri L. Morgan and Caroline Middleton both of Avenue, MD, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. As well as his brother David Thompson. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Elaine Quade.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD, where a Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Deacon Joe Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery Bushwood, MD.

Dear Terrie and Caroline, I am so sorry about the passing of Uncle James. I hope him, Daddy and Uncle Leroy have finally made peace with each other and are together with Granny and Popa. Take care.
I am so sorry Teri and family. I know how much he loved his family. I will miss him, his sweet smile and sense of humor. He was a good man.
