James Michael Kilty

James Michael Kilty, 86, of California, MD, passed away on December 5, 2024, in Solomons, MD. Born on March 15, 1938, in Shenandoah, PA, he was the son of the late Mary Kilty. James is survived by his children, Robert Kilty and Michael Kilty, both of California, MD, his sister, Theresa Delancey of Ocean View, NJ, and five grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Coughlin. James was a Meteorologist-Astronomer for the United States Air Force, and served for 24 years, ten months, and nine days, from August 22, 1955 to June 30, 1980. During this time, he served eight years at multiple locations throughout the United States and 17 years in multiple countries overseas. James was a faithful Catholic and loved to play golf.
