James Patrick "Jim" White Sr.

August 9, 1953 ~ October 22, 2026

Born in: Washington, DC
Resided in: Clements, Maryland

James Patrick White Sr., affectionately known as “Jim,” 73, of Clements, Maryland, passed away on October 22, 2026.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Randolph White and Betty Leona White.

He is survived by his loving wife, Christine White; his children, James White Jr., Donald White (Amy), Ryan White (Brittanie), and Tori Furr (Marshall); his cherished grandchildren, Rachel White, Kyle White, Stephanie Buckler and Archer Furr; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Levi and Logan Murphy.

Jim proudly followed his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the United States Navy to serve his country for eight years. When he left the Navy, he continued his military service/career as a contractor until his recent retirement in 2025. He was a hardworking man who believed in staying busy and always having a project to work on. Whether he was fixing something, working around the house, or tending to his yard, Jim was happiest when he had something to keep his hands busy. He especially enjoyed being outdoors and took great pride in keeping his yard looking its best.

Jim was a quiet man by nature, but those who knew him well knew he had a wonderful sense of humor and always appreciated a good joke. He didn’t need to be the center of attention to leave a lasting impression. His humor, steady presence, and the little things he did for others spoke volumes about the kind of man he was.

Above all, Jim loved his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. Nothing brought him greater happiness than seeing them smile, and he would do just about anything to make that happen. He showed his love not always through words, but through his actions, his willingness to help, and the countless little ways he cared for those around him.

Jim leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. His family will forever cherish the jokes he told, the projects he worked on, the pride he took in his home, and, most importantly, the love he had for each of them.

Though his presence will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught, the memories he created, and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of his family for generations to come.

Forever loved, always remembered, and deeply missed

Guestbook

  1. I am so very sorry for Jim’s passing. I know he had been unwell, but, the loss still seems so sudden and heartbreaking. I believe God knew it was time to bring Jim home, where he could once again sit in his favorite chair, overlooking the yard, with his lawnmower nearby, ready to do what he loved—cut the grass and make everything beautiful. May that peaceful image of Jim bring comfort and smiles to all who knew and loved him. Hugs my friend to you and your family. Mike, iola, Emily
