John Harding

John Harding, formerly of Golden Beach, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness. Born on November 11, 1949, in Oraville, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Raymond and Mary Harding.
John was a proud Vietnam veteran, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished grandfather. His unwavering dedication to his family and his country was matched only by his exceptional talents.
John had a remarkable gift for mastering any craft he pursued. Whether as a skilled carpenter, talented welder, meticulous painter, or expert auto mechanic, his perfectionism shone in all that he created. His love of music was also a defining part of his life; John found joy in playing his favorite Fender bass and flat-top guitar, where his artistry extended beyond his hands to his heart.
After his retirement, John and his wife Marcia moved to a 100-acre farm in Brookneal, Virginia. There, he spent his days enjoying the tranquility of country life, taking in the beautiful views, and creating lasting memories with those he held dear.
John’s legacy lives on through his loving wife, Marcia; his daughter, Karrie (Rob) of Lusby, MD; his sons, John (Stephanie) of Brookneal, VA, and Harold (Amber) of Baltimore, MD; his niece, Stacy Thompson (Ed) of Lusby, MD; and his grandchildren: Emily Long (Tim), Madison Long (Zach), Shayne Long, and Nathan Harding. He is also survived by his niece, Virginia Thompson, his two great grandsons Hudson Nickisch and Wyatt Mooney, and countless friends and family members who loved him dearly.
John will be remembered as a man of integrity, passion, and immense talent. He leaves behind a legacy of love and an example of a life well lived.
