A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 16, 2005 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD with Father Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
Public Viewing & Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM
John Joseph "Bumps" Hill, Jr., 66, of Bushwood, MD died September 11, 2005 in Bushwood, MD. Born August 20, 1939 in Bushwood, MD he was the son of the late John Joseph and Susie Marie Hill, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Attaway Hill whom he married on February 8, 1963 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD. He is survived by his children: Joesph Harry Hill of Washington, DC, Joan Elizabeth Tann of Randallstown, MD, Richard Alonzo Hill of Fort Washington, MD, Rhonda Michelle Mason of Bushwood, MD, Lawrence Montario Hill of Callaway, MD, Irma Ann Fenwick, Audra Diana Hill and Attaway Charnelle Brown all of Lexington Park, MD; brothers and sisters: Edith Young of Upper Marlboro, MD, Deloris Magnani of Great Mills, MD, Josephine Johnson, Clara Armstrong and James Hill all of Bushwood, MD and 12 grandchildren. Mr. Hill was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he attended Banneker High School. He worked as a truck driver for Guy's Excavating and the St. Mary's Board of Education. He also served in the U.S. Army. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. Honorary Pallbearers will be Howard Brown, Margaret Jackson, Lydell Mason and Spencer Tann.
