A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
John Lee Farrell, Sr., 57, of Avenue, MD, died on March 21, 2012 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on May 20, 1947 he was the son of the late Virginia Lee Thompson and John William Farrell. He was preceded in death by his wife Sheila L. Farrell who he loved with all his heart. John Lee is survived by his children: John Lee Farrell, Jr., (Christina), Phillip Farrell of Chaptico, MD., and Ruth Elisa Farrell of Great Mills, MD and 1 grandchild Victoria Johnson. Mr. Farrell graduated from Chopticon High School in 1972 and worked as a sheet metal mechanic. He was a life long resident of St. Mary’s County. John Lee liked to go to the water, hanging out with friends and camping. He was a very caring man and would do anything for anyone. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 26, 2012 in the Mattingley-Gardner Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 Am – 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 AM with Deacon Bill Nickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be: Al Graves, Jimmy Reed, John Lee Farrell, Jr., Carl Clements, Bruce Chaney, and Bobby Quade.
