A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Peter Alita officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
Visitation:
Viewing and Visitation will be Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 5 PM till 8 PM with Prayers at 7 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Chapel.
John Michael Quade, 50, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Compton, MD died October 1, 2006 in Mechanicsville, MD. Born February 26, 1956 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Lewis Benjamin and Betty Lee Morgan Quade, Sr. of Avenue, MD and the son in-law Mary C. Long of Mechanicsville, MD. He was the loving husband of Linda Marie Quade. He was the devoted father of: Tonia Quade of Hollywood, MD, Leona Quade of Mechanicsville, MD, step son: John Small of Port Republic, MD and step daughter: Jenna Small of California, MD. He is survived by his siblings: Pearl King of Owings, MD, Roaslie Demko of Lexington Park, MD, Betty Knott of Leonardtown, MD, Lewis Quade, Jr. and Tammy Yates both of Clements, MD and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Quade was a life long St. Mary's County resident where he worked for the MD State Highway Administration for 33 years until his retirement in April of 2005. He also worked as a delivery driver for Northeastern Supply since his retirement. For many years he played horseshoes for Backroad Inn and he loved to play cards and dance. He also enjoyed making people laugh and he was loved by many and we will miss him. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 5, 2006 from 5:00 â?? 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2006 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Peter Alliata officiating.
