Services:
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM in First Friendship United Methodist Church Ridge, MD with Pastor Elizabeth Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD.
John Philip “John Phil” Fenwick, 81 of Ridge, MD died November 20, 2013 at his residence. Born September 12, 1932 in Ridge, MD, he was the son of the late James Philip Fenwick and Lillian Murphy Fenwick.
“John Phil” is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Courtney Fenwick whom he married on November 14, 1952 at Cross Manor in Beechville, MD. He is also survived by his children, Carolyn Ann Malone of Bridgeport, TX, and Bobby (Barbara) Fenwick of Huntingtown, MD, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
“John Phil’ was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, he graduated from Great Mills High school in 1950, and he was a farmer. He was a member of the St. Mary’s County Farm Bureau, and First Friendship United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with prayers recited at 7:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00AM in First Friendship United Methodist Church (Ridge Campus) with Reverend Elizabeth Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be, W.R.”Dickie” Barnes, Charles R. “Robbie” Wood, George “Junior” Trossbach, Paul Tennyson, David Cullison, and David Woodburn.
