Services: A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 4 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ron Potts officiating. Visitation: Visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2006 from 2PM till 4PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home. John Robert "Bobby" Norris, 48, of Hollywood, MD died February 1, 2006 in Hollywood, MD. Born July 5, 1957 in Leonardtown, MD he was the son of Elizabeth Norris Knott and the late John A. "Snake" Norris. He was the loving husband of Mary Jeanette Norris whom he married in St. John's Catholic Church on July 15, 1977. He is survived by his son "Brooks" Robert Norris of Hollywood, MD,his bestfriend "Dixie" and step-father B. Alfred Knott whom his mother married on July 10, 1993. He is survived by his sister Katherine N. Guy and her husband John C. Guy, Jr., and nephew Steven Guy all of Mechanicsville, MD; step-brothers Herman Knott and Benny Knott. Mr. Norris was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident where he was a graduate of Ryken High School, Class of 1975. He enjoyed working with his father on the Wonder Bread truck from the age of 8 until he was 16. He was employed with Burch Oil Company for 20 plus years, and was a certified life coach and hypnotist for Joyful Journey in Leonardtown, MD. He belonged to the Chamber of Commerce and BECA. In the past he was active in the community with little league, St. John's Alter Servers, and the American Red Cross. He enjoyed crabbing, woodworking and was a Redskin season ticket holder for more than 30 years. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ron Potts officiating in Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel where the family received friends from 2:00 â?? 4:00 PM. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 79, Hollywood, MD 20636 and or Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 7, Hollywood, MD 20636. Arrangements provided by the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
