Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 1, 2006 at 12:00 PM in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD with Fr. John Barry officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bushwood, MD. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006 from 10:30 AM - 11:20 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD. John Thomas "Tom" Armstrong, 87 of Avenue, MD died August 28, 2006 in St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born May 23, 1919 in Bushwood, MD he was the son of the late Thomas and Annie Armstrong. He was the loving husband of Frances Lucinda Armstrong. He is survived by his children: Kelvin Armstrong of Avenue, MD, Philip Armstrong of Chaptico, MD and Roderick Armstrong of AZ; step children: Vincent Harris of Owings Mills, MD and Carol Mason of Leonardtown, MD; siblings: William Armstrong of Abell, MD and Ada Armstrong of Avenue, MD; 3 grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. Mr. Armstrong worked as a construction worker. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2006 from 10:30AM â?? 11:20AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Avenue, MD with Fr.
