Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 6, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: The Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 5, 2006 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Funeral Home with prayers being said at 7:00 PM. Joseph Edward Knott, 83, of Hollywood, MD died July 1, 2006 in St. Mary's Nursing Center. Born July 15, 1922 in Hollywood, MD he was the son of the late Charles Herbert and India L. Bonds Knott, Sr. He was the husband of the late Bernardine Pilkerton Knott whom he married on December 27, 1943 in St. Johns Catholic Church in Hollywood, MD. He is survived by his children Donald Knott and Karen Drury both of Hollywood, MD. He is also survived by his brother Richard Knott of Hollywood, MD. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Wendy Nicole Drury of Baltimore, MD; Robert Aaron Drury and wife Jessica of Leonardtown, MD. He is also preceded in death by his son Joseph Edward Knott, Jr. and siblings Charles Herbert, Jr. and Margaret Knott. He was a life long of St. Mary's County Resident where he worked as the farm manager and overseer of Sotterley Plantation. The Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with prayers being said at 7:00.
