  33. “The Hoopengardner Family has lost such a wonderful, inspirational family member. Great Uncle Luther will live on and continue to inspire me daily in my memories of his phenomenal sermons that I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to hear him deliver over the years. The power of his faith and love for God resonated in every word he spoke in those sermons. It would be difficult to say that one did not feel truly one with The Lord when he spoke in the House of God. He was truly a man of great worth and character and a man that devoted his life to his family and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was extremely giving to others in devoting his time to those in need of inspirational guidance. The mark he left on this world shall never be forgotten and unlikely replaced by such a remarkable man. Despite our distance and time, Great Uncle Luther and Great Aunt Loretta never forgot me through the years whenever I celebrated major achievements in my life and they were always supportive of my accomplishments. The Hoopengardner Family is a strong family deeply rooted in a foundation of love, caring and support for one another – be it immediate or extended family and regardless of distance and time. Through our inherent and unique qualities as a family, we can continue to live on and pass down our family legacy to those that will carry on The Hoopengardner Family name for years to come. I know Great Uncle Luther would expect nothing less of all of us and I know that it is within all of us to let the legacy of those family members (“Hoopie’s”) that have passed before us, continue to live on within each of us every single day of our lives. To my family and extended Hoopengardner family, I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss to our family and pray that God will comfort each of us in the days ahead as we cope with the loss of such a great man. I love you all and wish you peace and comfort during this time. “

  34. “Rev. Joe and Loretta Hoopengardner personified Christian dedication in their vocations and in their love for each other. Somehow the world seems emptier without them, and we surely were blessed to know them.”
