A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 12 in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, St. Inigoes, MD at 11 AM with Pastor Willett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Public Visitation will be held in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, St. Inigoes, MD from 9:30 AM - 11 AM on Saturday, March 12
Kay Louise Smallwood, 42, of Lexington Park, MD died March 5, 2005 in Washington Hospital Center. Born September 10, 1962 in Leonardtown, MD she was daughter of the late James Elmer and Edith Marie Ball Smallwood of St. Inigoes, MD. She is survived by her daughters: Laprea Nicole Bryant and Shanese Marie Dorsey both of Lexington Park, MD; and brothers and sisters: Alma Jean Smallwood of St. Inigoes, MD, Jo Ann Waters of Ft. Washington, MD, William Jerimiah Smallwood and Darryl Humphrey Smallwood both of Lexington Park, MD. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Franklin Benjamin Ball, James Elmer Smallwood, Jr., Edith Marie Smallwood, Jan Smallwood and Louis Smallwood. Ms. Smallwood was a graduate of Great Mills High School Class of 1980. She was also a graduate of the Washington School for Secretaries. She was a life-long St. Mary's County resident. Ms. Smallwood was employed as a Visual Arts Specialist for the Defense Intelligence Agency. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 12 in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, St. Inigoes, MD from 9:30 AM â?? 11:00 AM where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rose M. Willett officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gwan Walter Ball, Lloyd Brothers, Calvin Johnson, Dwight Smith, Joseph Young and Francis Webb. Arrangements provided by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, P.A.
