Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Lexington Park, MD with Fr. Jack Kennealy officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. Kevin Dale Wiersma, Jr., 21, of Lexington Park, MD formerly of Forked River, NJ died August 29, 2008 in Leonardtown, MD. Born December 31, 1986 in Portsmouth, VA he was the son of Kevin Dale Wiersma, Sr. of California, MD and Mariann H. Madden of Lexington Park, MD. He is survived by his sister Lauron Wiersma of Lexington Park, MD. Mr. Wiersma moved to St. Mary’s County in November of 1996 from Forked River, NJ. He graduated from Great Mills High School Class of 2006, and he was a welder. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4, 2008 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where Prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Lexington Park, MD with Fr. Jack Kennealy officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Marshall, Justin Crosman, Jesse Panagakos, Andrew Melendez, Kevin “Nikko” Briscoe and Richard Hawes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Todd Caton, Craig Caton, Lloyd Brothers, Victor Proctor, Andy Wood and Deron Chase.
