Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of The Wayside Catholic Church, Chaptico, MD with Fr. Timothy Baer officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace Cemetery, Helen, MD. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 7:00 PM. Lewis Patrick "Pat" Thomas, 50, of Ft. Washington, MD and formerly of Chaptico, MD died May 3, 2008 in the Hospice House of Washington. Born October 30, 1957 in John's Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late James Lewis and Agnes Evangeline Thomas. He is survived by his daughter Kia Monique Thomas of Washington, DC as well as nine siblings; James Francis Thomas, Charles C. Thomas, Mary B. Allen of Mechanicsville, MD, Ruth E. Jefferson and William M. Thomas, both of Chaptico, MD, Cece Buck of Lusby, MD Sheila D. Wright of Ft. Washington, MD, James W. Barnes Sr. of Killeen TX and Charles M. Barnes of Suitland, MD. Pat was a graduate of Chopticon High School "Class of 1976" and was employed as a window clerk for the United States Postal Service. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, with Prayers being said at 7:00 PM.
