A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM in Christ Episcopal Church, Chaptico, MD with Rev. Christopher Wilkens officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Bushwood, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM with prayers recited at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
Malcolm “Mac” Elmer Goode, Sr., 85, of Maddox, MD passed away on November 28, 2012 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on May 7, 1927 he was the son of the late Douglas F. and Dora Lyon Goode. Mac was the husband of Anne Adams Goode whom he married in Holy face Catholic Church, Great Mills, MD on July 30, 1949 and whom preceded him in death on May 31, 2010. Mac is survived by his son: Malcolm Goode, Jr. (Barbara) of Maddox, MD, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, Eloise Williams of Hattiesburg, MS, Douglas Goode of Annapolis, MD, and Jean Stahl of Lancaster, PA. He was preceded in death by his son Allen Lee Goode, and siblings: Laura Kiel, Grace Thomfordt, and James Warren Goode. Mac graduated from Margaret Brent High School in 1944, and worked as a Tobacco and Grain farmer. He belonged to the St. Mary’s County Farm Bureau and was a Director from 1968-1989 serving 22 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and walking with his dogs around the farm “Pond Point Farm”. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 2, 2012 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM with prayers recited at 3:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD.
