  1. Joan (Bowles) Snodderly says:

My thoughts and prayers are with Maralyn’s family and friends during this time of sorrow. May the many wonderful memories that you created and shared with Maralyn provide you comfort during the days ahead. Loveville has lost another member of the community. Rest in peace Maralyn.

  2. Thompson Family. I am truly sorry for your loss. Though I just met Mrs. Thompson, I enjoyed our conversations focusing on her husband and girls. My best memory, in this short time, will always be when her husband would visit and they would hold hands. Sending my thoughts and prayers. May God embrace you during this time.
    Oleta James

  3. It is with sad hearts that we learned we will not see Mrs. Thompson and enjoy her most pleasant manner as someone who always made us feel good in her presence on this earth again. There was always a quiet yet enormous aura of kindness which surrounded her. We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing her as a Loveville neighbor and businesswoman for many years. Good memories of her will be in our hearts forever! Our most heartfelt thoughts and prayers are extended to all the family.

  4. Maralyn will be greatly missed here at Cedar Lane. The family is in our thoughts and prayers.

  5. Cindy, Cindy and Mr Thompson,
So sorry to hear of the loss of Maralyn. She was a very lovely and giving lady.
She will be greatly missed in this community.
    Prayers for all of you.

  6. Joyce Anderson Spalding says:

I am so sorry to see this obituary for Mrs. Thompson. She taught me in fourth grade at Mother Catherine Spalding School and, she and my Mother, Theresa Anderson, worked together! I always had the utmost respect for her and then I met her again when my Mother moved to Cedar Lane! Rest in peace! My heart goes out to Cindy, Candy and family!

  7. Maralyn was our Loveville neighbor for many years. When she moved to Florida and returned for visits, she would often bring beautiful handmade baby items she designed and donated to our local pregnancy center. What a treasure they, and she, were. I feel blessed to have reconnected with her and her beloved Warren (Sonny) in the past few years at Cedar Lane. Their devotion and love for one other was so evident. I’ll miss her sweet and caring smile and know her family will keep her safe in their hearts forever.

  8. Warren, Candy, Cindy, Ricky, Wayne and extended family,
Randy and I extend our deepest condolences and many prayers on the loss of your special angel; wife/mom/grandma! I was lucky enough to grow up on the same road in which she and Warren built and spent many nights there. Candy and I shared many tuna fish sandwiches and many boxes of macaroni and cheese there. I always felt welcome in Maralyn’s home. One thing that always reminds me of her and sticks out in my mind is the gorgeous violets she grew, tended to. She also taught me at Mother Catherine Spalding School, such a great educator. We have seen some of her crocheting and paintings, my goodness she was talented. While we know each of you will miss her immensely, she does live on in all of you and her special grandchildren. She and your dad shared a very special bond, a love that will never be forgotten. No one can ever take that away. Please know we are here for each and every one of you and are only a phone call away if you need anything. Heaven gained a new, very special and very loved angel!
    Sending all of our love,
    Bonnie and Randy Oliver
