Services: A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 24th at 7:00 PM, with Deacon Bill Kemp officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation: Public Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, June 24th from 5 - 7 PM. Maria N. Brown, 71, longtime resident of Tall Timbers, Maryland, died Friday, June 18, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. She was born in Washington, D.C. on May 27, 1933. Her father was Salvatore E. Leonardo and mother was Wynelle Leonardo both deceased. She is survived by her three children, Roxanne L. Brown of Cleveland, Ohio, Susie (Brown) Masson-Strohmeyer of Tall Timbers, MD and Robert L. Brown, Jr. of Hollywood, MD. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Lauren E. Brown, Caitlin A. Brown and Stephen A. Masson as well as her son-in-law, Todd M. Strohmeyer and daughter-in-law, Sarah H. Brown. Maria worked for several years at the Bureau of the Census Library in Silver Hill, MD but she will be most remembered as being a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Visitation will be held at the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown, MD Thursday, June 24, 2004 beginning at 5:00 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM.
