A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, Chaptico, MD with Fr. Jerry Gamrot officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2:00-5:00PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD where prayers will be recited at 3:00PM.
Martin “Allie” Boswell, of Clements, MD, died July 27, 2011 at his residence. Born on September 6, 1925 in Bowie, MD he was the son of the late Albert L. Boswell and Irene L. Duetch Boswell. Allie was the loving husband of Catherine Inez Boswell whom he married in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bowie, MD on July 8, 1956. Allie is survived by his siblings: Louise Kerns of Lanham, MD, Myrtle Vargo of Orlando, FL, Doris Schneider of Denton, MD, Berneice Mast of Greenbelt, MD, and Rita Kelley of Clements, MD. Allie served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1957. Allie moved from Prince George’s County to St. Mary’s County in 1987. Allie was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed, hunting, crabbing, dancing, and his loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Margaret Kerns, and Anthony Boswell. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2:00-5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD with prayers being recited at 3:00 PM.
