Mary Alberta Heard-Kamm, 89, of Hollywood, MD, passed away on April 27, 2015 in Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 27, 1925 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Madge Dean Guy and Elmer Guy. Mary was the loving wife of the late Gary A. Kamm. Mary is survived by her children: Kenny (Judy) Heard, Mary Ann( Billy) Bean both of Hollywood, MD, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandaughter Myra. She is survived by her brother James E. Guy”Bubba” She was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, MD, and graduated from St. John’s School. Mary was a clerk in retail and was a member of Catholic Daughters.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM by Father Keith Woods. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Catholic Church Hollywood, MD with Father Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be: Chris Rawlings, David Johnson, Leonard Bean, Ralph Heard, Michael Johnson and Ronnie Bean. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Christie Heard-Rawlings, Karen Johnson, Cheryl Bean, Brittany Bean, Lindsey Bean, Julie Johnson, and Michelle Bean. Contributions may be made to the Hollywood Vol. Fire Department P.O. Box 7 Hollywood, MD 20636, and / or Hollywood Vol. Rescue Squad P.O. Box 79 Hollywood, MD 20636.

Alberta was like a second grandmother. Her and my grandmother, Gammie, were such wonderful friends. My grandma was probably right there waiting for her. Alberta was loved and will be missed. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers during this time.

Kenny,Judy & Family We are so sorry for the loss of your mother,grandmother and great grandmother. Alberta was a wonderful woman who always made us feel like family. We have always felt like she and all of you were part of our family. We know she will be deeply missed but remember the good times and there were many. She is in a better place with the lord with no more pain. You, as always are in our thoughts and prayers.

Alberta was part of our family for many years. Growing up she was just always there with a story to tell. Not many know but she took me to piano lessons for years. I can still here her saying, “How are you Dawlin”.
I am sure Jesus is happy she has come home to Him.

I was so sorry to hear about Alberta’s passing. We used to be neighbor’s and I loved our chats we used to have. She was such a sweet, kind, and giving woman. I loved her sense of humor and style. In a lot of ways, she reminded me of my grandmother. Heaven has surely gained another angel for sure!
Dear Alberta’s Family and Friends (she had way too many to name which is a blessing), I have searched for the right words of comfort to help in some small way to heal the hole in your hearts and none feel adequate …Alberta was a great lady and true joy to be around … She will be greatly missed by all and with her strong faith I truly believe she is now an angel in heaven watching over us…. Prayers and Love during this difficult time.

Dear Kenny, Judy and Heard Family…so very sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing. Alberta was the “Perfect” Lady in all aspects of the word. She never met a stranger and was always loving, gracious and polite. Kenny..you and Judy took excellent care of your Mom and know she in heaven soaring with the Angels and watching over you. My heartfelt condolences to all.
Kenny and Family: You have my heartfelt sympathy. It is so hard to lose someone you love especially your mom, but she lives on in a better place. You’ll always have those special memories.
To the Heard Family: A very special lady has gone but she will never be forgotten. She left so many beautiful memories and those memories will live on and become treasures to love and hold dear in your heart forever. I will always remember her as the beautiful lady that sat at the corner table at St. Mary’s Nursing Home and always had a smile and a sweetness to her voice. She looked so forward to her daily visits from her dedicated family. Our family loved her. RIP Mrs. Kamm!

Kenny and Judy, your mom was one of the dearest women I ever knew. We went to many prayer meetings together. Her humble and kind ways were remarkable. I learned a lot about Our Lord from her. I know she is now totally at peace with Him by her side. She dearly loved you and I know you dearly returned that love. She was so blessed to know how much her family cared. God is caring for her now forever.
