“Dear Uncle Aloysius and family, “Precious memories, how they linger, how they ever flood my soul.” We all have our own precious memories of Aunt Muzzy. For Dennis, it was being “down on the farm” and her unique sense of humor. For me, it is remembering the taste of her elderberry jam on a biscuit and how proud she was of that jam. May your cherished memories bring you comfort and sustain you through this difficult time. May the heavenly father bless you with peace for he is “nigh unto the broken hearted”. We love you and are holding you close in thought and prayer.”
“Where do I begin. I don’t have the name to describe Muzzy. She was one of a kind loving wife, wonderful mother, loving grandmother, excellent cook, joy to be around, good friend, lots of jokes, very giving, kind, and believe it or not she liked the Dallas cowboys, I have notes from her lots of cowboy pins, that I have worn many times. She,Aloysius and Leonard Long used to come to Va.Beach to visit my husband and I when he was in the navy.nick names for each other was nice lady and nice man.I could go on and fill pages and still not tell you all about this wonderful couple.to you Aloysius,we love you too and will be here for you just let us know.I must put a little humor in this note, Aloysius, do you remember the time you Muzzy, Mary Helen, Leo, Jerry and I with a bunch of others after the dance was over at hotel charles went to Benedict and went semi-skinny dipping? You and Jerry went to the bath house and he found a swimming suit, and he was I think trying to put it on,there was campers there, and a lady was telling you and Jerry to get away from her camper? ha ha What a lot of good memories I have.Muzzy you have gone to live with your other family and friends but I will always think of you and love you and we will meet again and talk about our cowboys.Love and prayers to the whole family.Jerry(nice man)Liz (Nicelady)Joe,Brian,Craig,Hunter and Jenny.”

“To my dear family, You have recieved so many comdolences and everyone is saying the same thing. Aunt Muzzy was one of the most generous woman that I know. Whenever I went to see her she always had something to give me. One of my prized possessions is a big old paper clip. When she put it in my hand, she said “Here, use this to keep things together” and she winked at me. That was about 15 years ago and I still carry it and remember what she said. She was a family woman and loved to show off her picture book. She once told me that her whole life was all of the people in that book and I know that it is true.I hope that she can take it with her. She will gladly show us off to anyone that will look. We all loved her as she loved us and we will miss her greatly. There isn’t anyone like Aunt Muzzy! Love Ginger”
“Angela and family – my thoughts are with you but I know she is released from her pain and you’ll see her again in Heaven.”
“Grandma I will miss you so much. I will never forget all the wonderful memories we shared. We loved feeding and watching birds at the farm house swinging on the front porch. You would collect flat stones for me, everytime I saw you, you had a new one’s for me you would say “look what I found for you” on my walk today. When I was sick and stayed home from school you would take such good care of me, you fixed hot jello and it always did the trick! I’m so thankful we had such wonderful times together and I’m honored to be your grand daughter. I will always love you and its not good bye it alachavinchi. That was her favorite saying instead of good bye. Love, Lynn Joe Joseph and Madilyn “

“Where do you start with someone like Aunt Muzzy. My family and I have so many great memories of dear Aunt Muzzy. You could always count on being entertained when you were with her. Whether it was at the farm, at a card game, or even when you visited her at the Nursing Home. You knew that she loved you and YOU would feel better after a visit wth HER. Aunt Muzzy was an excellent cook and made the best Lemon Meringue Pie and chocolate cake with white icing in the world and she did not mind telling you that. It is the simple things in life such as these fond memories that make a person special in peoples lives. I have many wonderful memories as a child being with my family visiting Aunt Muzzy and Uncle Aloyious over on the farm. We will truly miss Aunt Muzzy but our faith tells us that “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”. To Uncle Aloyious and family, we are here for you for whatever you may need. Uncle Aloyious, I look forward to continuing our breakfast ritual on Saturday mornings. God Bless all of you.”

“Uncle Aloysius and family. Aunt Muzzy was a very special lady. We will always remember the married couples dances, and the spicey jokes. She would always bring laughter and smiles to our faces. She made a lap quilt for my birthday(Bertha) I will remember her every time I use it. It’s hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well-lived life. Love Bertha & Ricky, Virgie & Buddy.”
“You all are in our thoughts and prayers, now she is watching over you all!”
“What can you say about someone as special as Aunt Muzzy (hey, she gave me my nickname). The mold was broken when she was born. She was part of a generation that helped make me the person I am today. She was kind, loving, tender yet strong willed, a wonderful cook and a giver of good advice. She will be missed by all of us. Uncle Aloysious I love you so much. Take care and know that I will be there in heart and mind during this time of pain. Let all of us live with the wonderful memories of our dear Aunt Muzzy.”

“Grandma you were such an amazing woman. I was so lucky to even know my “great grandmother”. I was the first great grandchild born into the family and I’m so happy to be able to say that. you took such good care of me, along with everyone else. If something was ever wrong we could always turn to you. You always had a shoulder for us to cry on, or open arms to hug us. I remember spending summers with you and I would love every second of it. You would make me skirts to wear to school, always show me pictures, we would make things out of random objects around your house, take walks on the farm, make jell-o, we would feed the birds, we’d watch soaps everday, cook dinner on Wednesdays right before everyone came over, and most importantly, you would love me. you treated me as if I was your own, and I appreciate that more than you will ever know. you taught me a lot of life lessons, wiped a lot of my tears, and put many smiles on my face. No one will ever compare to you or grandaddy. You made such a wonderful family and I will cherish our memories together. Rest in peace grandma and I’ll see you soon. You’re such a beautiful guardian angel now, and like you always said, its not goodbye, it’s alachavinchi ! Love you”
“My deepest sympathies to the Quade family. May God open his arms allowing Mrs. Quade into his eternal kingdom. Rest in Peace Mrs. Quade. “
“Angela, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.”
“Aunt Muzzy was my second Mom. I remember when we spent a couple of weeks together when I came down from PA. We made jelly together and went to yard sales. I remember her making her famous ice tea in a gallon tin bucket. I will love and miss her very much. But I know that she in the celestrial kingdom with our heavely Father. “
