Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel Leonardtown, MD with Father Francis Early officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. Mary Delma Russell of Clements, MD died on April 24, 2013 in Bushwood, MD. Born in Dynard, MD on October 22, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Bailey and Mary Estelle Vallandingham Thompson. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; Guy Arthur Russell, whom she married on October 1, 1955. Delma is survived by her step brother Harry Oliver of Clements, MD, and her good friend, companion John F. Quade. Delma is also survived by her many friends at Taylor Farm in Bushwood, MD. She was a homemaker and loved the land, animals, playing cards, dancing, and being with friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Memorial Contributions may be made to the seventh District Vol. Rescue Squad P.O. Box 7 Avenue, MD 20609.
