Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM in St. John's Catholic Church, 43927 St. John's Road, Hollywood, MD 20636 with Fr. Ray Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation: Viewing/Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, 41590 Fenwick Street, Leonardtown, MD 20650 with Prayers being said at 4:00 PM Mary Gertrude Dean, 79, of Hollywood, MD died October 20, 2006 in Hollywood, MD. Born June 4, 1927 in Hollywood, MD she was the daughter of the late Roger and Gertrude Wells Hayden. She was the loving wife of Franklin W. Dean and the devoted mother of Karen Ann Dean of Towson, MD and Gregory Alan Dean of Kensington, MD. She is also survived by her siblings Joseph Aloysius Hayden and Thomas Edward Hayden both of Hollywood, MD, and one grandchild Jennifer List. She was preceded in death by her siblings Ann Loretta Goldsborough, Francis Roger Hayden, Jr. and Robert "Toots" Hayden. She was a life long St. Mary's County resident and graduate of Great Mills High School Class of 1945. She belonged to the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. The family will receive friends Sunday, October 22, 2006 from 2:00-5:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home with prayers being said at 4:00 PM.
