Visitation: Friday, February 11, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Mary Lou McGee Mattingly, 68, of Leonardtown, MD died February 9, 2005 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born February 8, 1937 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Marie and Stephen Henry McGee. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Mattingly, Jr. on December 10, 2004, whom she married on July 18, 1959 in Hollywood, MD. She is survived by her son John Franklin Mattingly, III of Leonardtown, MD, and her brothers, Steve McGee of Valley Lee, MD and Mike McGee of Hollywood, MD and her sister Diane Huseman, of Hollywood, MD. Mrs. Mattingly was a lifelong St. Mary's County resident and graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Class of 1955. She was employed as a Math Analyst for 34 years at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, MD until her retirement November 3, 1993. She enjoyed quilting, her rose garden, crafts, canning vegetables and caring for others. Prayers will be said at 6:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2005 in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown, where the family will receive friends from 5 â?? 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 12, 2005 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown with Reverend Rory Conley officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matt Shepherd, George Mattingly, Steve McGee, Richie Huseman, Jim Hayden, and Ronny McGee. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Huseman, Floyd Ashley, Jr and Francis "Boots" Garner. Contributions may be made to Leonardtown Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 299, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
